Here's a classic Tifa Fan art from years ago. Not sure of the artist to this day sadly, would love to give him/her credit for this picture. This picture has a special meaning since it was this image and a picture of Trunks that were the first images to grace this site back in March of 2002. Tifa has always been my favorite anime/videogame girl and will continue to be but of course I have other favorites.
Had to post this one up today too. Thanks to peterpayne.net (head of the famed JList store, see I complement even my 'competition') for showing us this amazing anime logo of Starbucks. Now if they had that as the logo, you'd know they'd fix their little slump they are in (and of course cheaper coffee). I know who I'm going to for a new logo for my store ^^;;
This poster was at the Kotobukiya booth over at SDCC 09 about a month and a half back. just wanted to pay homage to Shunya Yamashita and his amazing work so far with Marvel. The Rogue figure recently arrived and it looks great. (kept one for myself ^^) Of course the news that happened earlier this week was that Marvel was bought out by, of all companies, Disney 0-O. As long as Disney keeps everything basically the way they were, Marvel will do just fine. Hopefully things don't go down the watered down kiddy route for Marvel. If that happens, chances are Yamashita won't be designing Bishoujo too much longer :-( It's very obvious that Yamashita with Kotobukiya (and sculptor Koei Matsumoto) make very gorgeous versions of American comic book girls. Sadly, the comic book girl figures developed here in the US tend to look like, well...very manly women 0_O, so please Disney...don't drop the deal with Yamashita and Kotobukiya.
Can't forget to post up this classic anime fan art piece. This picture of Kasumi from Dead Or Alive is simply stunning. Click on the image to get the full scale version of it. It's 1024x768 pixels. So if the screen fits, you can use it as a wallpaper ^^.
Heading into the dog days of summer and finally this year we are actually getting summer weather here in New York. The anime business has been heating up for me as well (thus explains some of my blogging absence ^^;;). It doesn't help that my p/t job is still thorn in my side and is continuing to dig just as deep as it did before I almost quit last year. Anyways, with the business starting to do well again, I'm going to put up a contest by next week. This time I promise. Been waaaay too long since the last contest and I've also keep saying "another one is coming". So by some time next week, there will be a contest and hopefully more good stuff here on the site. As for now, enjoy this great anime pic.

This one is obviously done by the great Shunya Yamashita. If I'm not mistaken, this is a variation of his character Roxanner, of whom will have a figure released in the coming months.
Been one of those busy weeks. So while I get some more posts ready for all of you, here's an anime girl picture that you'd might like. I'm also in the process of setting up a test/beta version of this blog so you can get a glimpse of any upgrades to the blog. Been looking all over for coding that will put up relevant posts as well as automatically thumbnailed posts...but Blogger is not friendly to customizations outside of the .blogspot.com site setup -_-. I'm a programmer, so I'll work my way around their errors somehow.

This by far has to be the most amazing anime drawing I have ever seen and to my biggest surprise...it's not a picture of a cute anime girl! Done by the artist, Muuten, this image depicts a tattooed samurai with the image of a mech behind him. Simply stunning, a true work of art that should be in museums and yet another reason why I'm glad to be an anime fan. I just hope to have half of the artistic talent that is needed to make this image.
Ok, this is not such a new picture and it's been publicized on a number of anime sites. Just thought I'd add it to list of favorite anime pics. It's the famous "Mio-Beam" pic featuring K-On!'s Mio in a maid dress firing an insane beam. You gotta admit..the picture is freaken cool and goes well with Mikuru's "Mikuru Beam" ^_^
Ar Tonelico 2 has been eating up much of my time as of late. Here's a picture of Luca and Cloche (Chroche) from the game. I'm most likely going to create a whole section devoted to this game. Once you start playing this game..you might as well not come out of your gaming cave for at least a month. This game is an anime fan's dream ^^.

Summer is coming soon and here in NY we are having one nice late April day. Enjoy a day out in the sun if you are lucky enough to have a good day. Try not to work too hard since there should always be those days where you do nothing at all.
Everyone is a fan of Gurren Lagann's Yoko. Here's a little picture of her for the day. Been busy over here at New York Comic Con (more on that in a future post). This picture would Make a nice desktop background...just need to boost it's size for you all since the iPhone keeps these a bit small. More on that too in a future post.
For the loyal readers, my apologies for the last post. Appearently ShoZu messed the picture up for some odd reason. If Kanu is not in this pic, I'll do it manually from blogger. Anyways, as I was stating in the post, Ikki Tousen's Kanu has to be the most "figureized" anime character with figures of her being announced at least once or twice a month.
Haven't done the Anime Pic of the Day in a while. Thought I'd bring it back with a favorite of mine. This is a lovely anime angel pic drawn by none other than Shunya Yamashita. Love his art and the figures based on his art. Just one look at this pic and you can see why he's the master of the Bishoujo (pretty girls) genre.
